Needless to say, I, like most patients, have been very disappointed by the difficulty recruiting and maintaining dentists at the practice over the last few years. I am certain this has also been very frustrating for the dentists and other staff working there. However, the care I have received when I have been examined and treated has been excellent. I have had both an extraction and a filling (treated by Alex Figan) and have been astonished at how painless they were. On each occasion, Alex explained very clearly the issue and the recommended treatment plan, eased any anxiety and was at all times patient and respectful. I cannot fault his professional practice and would readily recommend him.

Signed up for private dental care today, after years of being with NHS under same Dental Practice. Unfortunately that’s the way things are going with private health care taking over from NHS. Never had any problems with appointments or the way I’ve been treated and I know this will continue. Thanks to Angela, on reception, for all her help and transition from NHS to private.

Shocking ! , I've been waiting a year for my appointment , and when I phone to make sure it was still today, They tell me It has been cancelled because the dentist I use left 6 months ago. They haven't had the decency to contact me. And to rub it in, they tell me I have to phone back in 5 months to see if there is another dentist that will see me

Arrived for my family appointment this afternoon only to find the premises was closed. No phone call or text to inform me. This is now the third appointment on the trot which they have cancelled without notifying me. I should be billing them for loss of earnings. My children haven’t seen a dentist for well over 3 years now as every ‘missed’ appointment results in another six month wait for the next one. Absolute shambles.

Came here for a emergency appointment after phoning 111 and being unable to eat or sleep due to a infection in my wisdom tooth (spitting out green pus and blood) older receptionist was not very friendly and quite rude mannered when I was speaking to a younger more friendly receptionist anyway after that I was taken through to the dentist who touched the tooth twice and said everything was ok I have left this dentist in pure agony only to be told I’m fine the dentist did not even properly examine my tooth not happy with this service would not come here privately or emergency again. If I could give less than one star I would I hope this was a one off experience but judging by other reviews it is not.

Disappointed it's one star, I'd have preferred ZERO stars but it didn't let me post with that. I was an NHS patient at this then NHS surgery for years until they unexpectedly deregistered me because I had an appointment that I didn't even book and didn't even know about that I missed apparently. They've now sent me a flyer about mydentist plan and how I should sign up for it. Take your flyer and stick it where the sun doesn't shine and take me off your mailing list, you've got my name it's above. You blew any chance of me signing up for anything regarding your surgery when you fabricated an excuse to take me off your books. As I've been unable to find another NHS dentist since. Off you pop and don't bang your head on the door on the way out. 👍😊

Probably the best news that this practice has gone private. Been a NHS patient for years there but definitely will not go there for private treatment. Had more cancellation than British Rail.
