Wouldn’t recommend to my worst enemy. I never write bad reviews, but I attended this dentist 2 years ago, I had the most rudest dentist I’ve ever met. Prior to my appointment I had no issues with attending the dentist and I’ve sat through a root canal and didn’t flinch. But coming to this dentist gave me a new fear of going to the dentist, as I had been told by the dentist how bad my teeth were and that I needed 10 fillings! I allowed this practice to do 4 and one for cosmetic reasons and I was waiting to afford the next 5 fillings I needed! Baring in mind I was told if I left my seriously decaying teeth I would need root canals so at this point my teeth would cost me anywhere between £2000-£5000 (if root canals were required) just for my teeth to stay in my mouth. It has taken two years to pluck up the courage to go to the dentist again thinking how can I afford it and what are they going to say. I thankfully returned to a new dentist after 2 years, and been told I don’t need any fillings, my teeth are healthy and well looked after and now I fear the 4 I had were not required at all. I cannot believe this experience and I am still astonished by the service my ex partner and I received. We both sat in each others appointments and were belittled about our hygiene and teeth, baring in mind I’ve never recieved anything negative about my teeth and I actually like them. In a world where looks are everything it helps to be kind. I am lucky my teeth remained healthy over waiting two years to pluck up the courage. I have also attached my treatment plan from the dentist as proof.

I have been a patient here for some years and have always been happy with the service they provide. All the staff are friendly and willing to help. It was the first time I saw Daniela and I found her to be very informative, friendly and professional. Her assistant, not sure what her name was, but she was very friendly too. I just had a check-up with no further work to be done so I was very happy.

My dental appointment had to be delayed because the practice was short staffed at the time of my original appointment. I finally got to go and have my routine check-up though and was greeted by Daniela and her lovely assistant. Daniela was very friendly, thorough and was very informative. Her assistant was very welcoming and polite. It is a good Practice and all the staff are excellent. We've been patients of theirs for some years now.

I have been with Together Dental Halstead for over 13 years, and always found the Dentist there to be very efficient and caring never once having a complaint. . Recently I attended an appointment with a new Dentist Daniela Varela, and all I can say is what a lovely, caring dentist she is. I am so impressed how everything that needed attention, was explained in a friendly and detailed way ,which gave me confidence, especially as I am always nervous. The treatment I had was the best, and even though I find I have a complication, I have been kept up to date with the coming procedure by equally friendly receptionist. I can really recommend this practice, the communication, treatment and caring of all the staff is wonderful.

My partner is terrified of the dentist and has refrained from going for some years, since the passing of his mum. Over the last week, he has been in excruciating pain with a wisdom tooth that clearly needed to be extracted. The first appointment was delayed by 20 minutes, but once seem, the dentist advised a filling and if this didn’t fix the problem, an extraction would be required. This in itself seems to be a money making scheme, as he wanted the tooth out to put a stop to any future possibility of problems, but being nervous and trusting in the dentist, he rebooked to come back the following day. The appointment was 12:40, to which he arrived at 12:46, due to high traffic in the area because of local flooding. A receptionist had phoned my partner at 12:10, to request he come in sooner. We left home at 12:20, with a usual 15 minute journey to still arrive on time for 12:40. Whilst driving, they attempted to call him, but driving he couldn’t answer. When they attempted a second time (as we pulled into the car park), I answered, to which a very rude and obnoxious receptionist advised he had missed his appointment. When I stated it was at 12:40, the receptionist said ‘well it’s 12:45 and you are late’. On arrival at 12:46, the same receptionist stated ‘you are late and the dentist will do what they can' and as we walked to our seat, he was instantly called in to be seen. So why can they make him wait 20 minutes to be seen, but on arriving 6 minutes late to another, the receptionist feels she has the right to belittle and speak to a customer like they are an inconvenience?! Once he was finished, it turns out the reason for the rush was because it was their lunch time. They had already locked the door and turned the lights off. Speaks volumes… I have now registered my partner at another dentist and won’t be returning. Worst customer service skills from the receptionist who believes working in the private health sector makes her feel some kind of importance. GET RID!

Today attended Together Dental Halstead for a hygienist appointment and I must say this was by far the best hygienist I have ever seen. I have been attending this practice for 2 and a half years and in that time I have had 3 different people. This one explained and showed me everything I needed to do to look after my teeth. I do hope she stays and that I will be seeing her at my next appointment in 6 months time. The receptionist was nice and helpful too. I must say that the new (female dentist) was excellent too. Sorry can't remember anyone's names. The practice has improved a lot from when I first went .
