Dr. J. Jason Ayers, DMD

Typical of Fayette, I'm sad to say. Instead, save your time and money, and a trip to Tuscaloosa, and go to the Vernon Dental Clinic! My experience today, I might add, was much nicer than the " just a general dentist office", it was condescendingly described to me as being, by one of Ayers Front desk nurses. Hardly, dear. At the Vernon Dental Clinic, you can have crowns, root canals, veneers, and I'm sure they do dentures, too. State of the art technology and equipment, friendly nurses, and great dentists, are why you should go to Vernon!

My autistic son has been a patient of Dr. Ayers since 3rd grade and he is in college now. Fantastic staff, very personable, Dr. Ayers is incredibly kind and easy with children. Highly recommend Also... Tori is great!

I know my review will probably not be acknowledged but writing this will make me feel better. First time patient & horrible interaction with the girl at the front reception area. I obviously rubbed her the wrong way when I had the audacity to try to explain to her that the payment from my dental insurance was not determined by whether or not my primary health insurance w/limited dental coverage was/was not accepted by Dr. Ayers. She insulted me by stating that I do not understand or know how insurance works. She doesn't know me, let alone what I know or do not know. Just so happens, I totally understand how insurance works. She suggested I call my insurance so I did. They told me she was wrong & that they would pay. I told her what they told me & she wouldn't even entertain the possibility that I could be right so, out of frustration, I told her we would pay for today's visit & I would file the claim myself. She told me to give her my dental cards & she would call. She then tells me, once again, that my dental insurance would not pay benefits because Dr. Ayers does not accept my healthcare insurance w/the limited dental coverage. I couldn't understand why my dental insurance is telling her one thing & me another so I called them again. They told me she is absolutely wrong & that they have a record her her calling & they did not tell her that. For the sake of other patients, I told her what they told me. At this point she is done with me & proceeds to shut me down & told me to sit down, which I did. When time to pay, I told her I did not mean to upset her and cause her to have a bad day. She did not even acknowledge my apology. I told her they just lost the potential of having 3 new patients. Apparently, Dr. Ayers doesn't need the business.

Dr. Ayers and his staff are the best! I don’t feel like just another patient here. They have the best bedside manner! 🥰

Had a great experience at the office. Everyone there is very sweet and extremely friendly. Made me feel very welcomed and had a great atmosphere in the office.

Best dentist around! Staff and front desk lady are very helpful. I would go to them over anybody.

AVOID!!! Dr. Ayers filed my two front teeth down to the point they're paper thin in order to put bonding on them. Because of this, every dentist I've been to since when my bonding has chipped off has commented on how my thin teeth make their job to repair the bonding more difficult. Sure, he & the staff are nice, but do not trust him to do more than a simple dental cleaning!

We had a 2 filling appts. For our girls in March, office closed down for Corona, they then said May apt. The office was still not able to get my girls in until the end of nearly July! Not happy. Surely child patients mean more than that? They are not even allowing work ins. We are NOT going back. Don't bother with this dentist even if they are close. Not worth it in the long run. These simple cavities will probably now be root canals.
